Position: Qualified Mental Health Professional

We are currently seeking a certified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-T or QMHP).

CSA/IIH/MHSS Pay:
  • $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Crisis Stabilization Pay:
  • $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Qualifications:
  • Certified QMHP-T or QMHP
  • Any Bachelor’s degree but preferred: Social Work, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field in Human Services
  • At least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with mental illness
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge in supporting both adults and children with daily living skills
  • Ability to provide services from a person-centered approach
  • Skilled in clinical interviewing and identifying risk factors for suicide, violence, and other high-risk behavior
Duties:
  • Provide short-term, community-based mental health services to adults and children with mental health conditions in their homes and communities
  • Offer goal-directed counseling, assess changes in needs, and provide training in functional and daily living skills, community resource use, and medication management
  • Develop and implement Individual Service Plans for clients
  • Maintain case records and document services in compliance with agency, regulatory, and accreditation standards
  • Coordinate services with community partners (e.g., probation officers, teachers, healthcare providers, DSS workers) to build support networks
  • Provide 24/7 service coverage in collaboration with other staff (Safety Plans)
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision and attend agency meetings as required
  • Complete progress notes, discharge reports, service authorization documents, and other necessary case documentation within agency deadlines
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
  • Strong understanding of professional integrity and boundaries with clients
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans
  • Capacity to build rapport with clients and their families
  • Familiarity with community-based resources
  • Knowledge of interventions for mental health conditions and clinical diagnoses for children and adults
  • Understanding of psychotropic medications
  • Familiarity with human rights and confidentiality regulations
  • Awareness of family dynamics
Expected Hours:
  • 35-50 hours per week
